Coach Development & Certification

The National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) is the standard for coach training in Canada. Badminton NB supports coaches in the province as they progress through the pathway — from community instructors to high-performance coaches.

Delivered in partnership with the Coaching Association of Canada.

Two NCCP multi-sport modules (Basic Mental Skills; Design a Basic Sport Program) plus the Provincial Badminton Technical & Tactical Foundation module.
Required For
Coaching on court at Badminton Canada National Championships.

Trained vs. Certified: what's the difference?

In Training means you've registered for the workshops. Trained means you've completed all required modules. Certified means you've also passed a live practice evaluation with an NCCP evaluator — required to coach on court at sanctioned events.

What does certification cost?
Workshop fees vary by clinic and are set by the host. Evaluation fees are paid separately. Contact BNNB for current pricing.
Can I transfer my certification from another province?
