Moncton Atlantic Open - under 23,19,16,14
Jan. 30th and 31st the Moncton Atlantic Open will be Badminton New Brunswick's second circuit series tournament for the 2009-10 season and worth double ranking points for the New Brunswick athletes provincial standings. This tournament will offer $1200 prize money to the under 23 athletes and will be awarded to the finalists only for singles, doubles and mixed. Other categories will be Under 19,16 and 14.

PRIZES: $1200 minimum prize purse. Prize money will be awarded to the under 23 finalists for each event .A detailed prize purse breakdown will be provided on-site. Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for under 19, 16, and 14. Prizes will be given to fourth place and consolation winners for under 19, 16, and 14 events
ENTRY FEE: The entry fee of $50 per player must be paid by Visa online to Badminton New/Nouveau Brunswick.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Saturday January 23nd, 2010
CONDITIONS: The tournament is open to athletes residing in Atlantic Canada who are members of their provincial association who were under the age of their specific age category (23,19,16,14) as of Dec.31st 2009.
SHUTTLES: Blackknight 6800 feather shuttles for under 23, 19, and 16. Truflight 4000 for the under 14 category. Shuttles will be provided for all matches.

SEEDING & DRAW: Tournament will be single elimination format with consolation round with possibility of round robin pools. Seeding done by Badminton New/Nouveau Brunswick and draws done according to the Canadian regulations.
EYEWEAR: The use of polycarbonate safety eyewear is strongly recommended.
SCHEDULE: Saturday - Doors open at 8:00am for 9:00am Start
Saturday Jan.30th - 9:00 AM Singles, Doubles then Mixed
Saturday Jan.30th - 6:00pm under 23 all finals Mixed, Singles, doubles
Sunday Jan.31st - 9:00 AM - under 19,16, and 14 Finals/Bronze matches
Warm-up time will be 3 minutes
Default time will be 5 minutes
TRANSPORTATION: Will not be provided.
